PM Kisan Yojana Update 2025: Eligibility, Benefits & Application Process

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana is a flagship scheme of the Government of India aimed at providing financial assistance to landholding farmers across the country. Under this central sector scheme, eligible farmers receive direct income support to help them meet agricultural and household expenses.

While official updates for PM Kisan Yojana 2025 are expected to be announced soon, the core eligibility criteria and application procedure remain largely the same.

What is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?

Launched in February 2019, the PM-KISAN scheme provides ₹6,000 per year to eligible farmers, distributed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. The funds are directly transferred to the farmer’s bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), ensuring transparency and speed.

The scheme is fully funded by the Government of India and implemented through state governments and union territories.
